Imo the best ending to Supernatural would have been to just stop with them alive on a random hunt or them finding jobs and living the life they just wanted or whatever.

And then the story just fucking STOP, because Chuck is not here anymore, so they are no longer part of a story they are finally free. And we could still write and read fanfic about how they live after they won.

If you’re a cishet person telling queer stories, the Supernatural ending and what it did to queer fans should be mandatory homework. You need to know how we watched the angel and the hunter die without ever finding peace in life. You need to know how fans were told to shut up, because the angel being allowed to be queer out loud for less than 30 seconds after 12 years on the show was a win for diversity, obviously. You need to know how within 72 hours of the finale airing, fans had donated over $60,000 - in small amounts - to organizations dedicated to uplifting the marginalized groups SPN gave the middle finger to with its conclusion. You need to know about the Castiel Project. You need to know about “They silenced you.”

You need to know these things so you stop doing this to us. We need the people who come out late in life, who survive abuse and depression, who are just starting to find themselves - we need them to live.

Whatever else happens, whatever other joy you think you’ve given us to make up for it… it’s not enough.

We need them to live.

Now I know that we all are like so not over dean keeping the trench coat in s7 buttttttt the one thing I think people don’t notice or forget is that dean didn’t have baby at the time they had to keep switching cars so that means he brought that coat with him every single time. Like ugh! They make me sick!

Dean's nothing about our lives is real speech? When he says "everything we are is because of chuck"? He was speaking privately & directly to Castiel when he said that.

Not to Sam. Not everything I am. Everything we are. Dean was having a full on crisis.

"You asked, 'What about all of this is real?' We are." Dean didn't know how right Cas was.

Like no baybee. It'll take 15 episodes, but god himself will tell you Cas defied him and his plan to love you, actually.

The "fuck, I feel so stupid" really hits home for us spn fans. We really should have known better

I'm so fucking angry.

The thing is: if the show isn't renewed for a third season, then Izzy is well and truly dead, and it's a betrayal. If there is a third season and they don't resurrect him somehow, it's also a betrayal. And if there is a third season and they resurrect him (and I'm not hopeful at all, having seen those extracts from interviews), it means we would have spent months grieving his character and being devastated and enraged and not daring to hope. It would also be a betrayal, just a smaller one.

Like.

It was kinda obvious at the end of season 1, and in the time between the two seasons, that Lucius' death wouldn't stick. (And he was a less important character anyway. I would have been really annoyed but I would have suck it up, I guess.) We were hopeful, in any case.

It doesn't feel like that. At all.

There's no hope, no excitement. Whatever they've planned, I'm not sure I care anymore.

And the irony for me is that I like dark stories, I like angst, I like heartbreak, I'm not even opposed to a major queer character dying *if it's consistent with the tone and the themes of a show* (and well executed, which isn't the case here) but that's NOT what I signed for with OFMD.

I thought we were past that.

if supernatural creatives just put in a little more effort into the show it could’ve been so good

Like, you introduced a character that speaks ASL so let them speak ASL!

If Sam speaks ASL then show him get better at it as time progresses other than just some simple gestures.

Show dean try to learn and speak in broken ASL because eileen is his friend and she’s important to sam.

Let Castiel, ‘I don’t get words wrong’ , angel of the lord, speak fluent ASL because ofcourse he does.

If they just used a little bit more of their budget and tried a little harder. Ugh
